Purpose of Course: This course is designed to help you develop a better understanding of World History and how it has shaped American society and our lives. A comprehensive understanding of World History will involve knowledge of persons, places, and dates as well as a demonstrated understanding of trends and themes that have played a major role in shaping the world we live in today. This course will examine how history is influenced by human perception. In particular, this course will emphasize an understanding of how the three themes of religion, warfare, and geography have influenced world events.
